At Ky + Oak Designs, all digital products, including but not limited to seamless patterns, clip art, and design files (collectively “Designs”), are licensed for use only by the individual purchaser. By purchasing from Ky + Oak Designs, you agree to the following terms:
1. No Sharing, No Transferring
• You may not share, gift, resell, swap, or distribute the original files in any way, whether for free or for profit.
• Files may not be uploaded to file sharing websites, social media groups, cloud drives, or any other platforms intended for distribution.
2. Single-User License
• Each purchase is licensed to one individual or business entity only.
• Standard commercial licenses are intended for small business use only (e.g., handmade goods, limited runs, personal shops).
3. Extended Commercial Use Requirement
• Businesses that manufacture or sell on a larger scale (100+ units, yards, etc.) (including, but not limited to, fabric shops, textile printers, POD platforms, and suppliers of physical goods) are required to purchase an Extended Commercial License. See Extended Commercial License page for more details.
4. Prohibited Actions
• You may not alter, resell, or claim the designs as your own.
• You may not share or transfer files.
5. License Revocation
• Violation of this policy will result in an immediate revocation of your license without refund.
• Legal action may be taken against individuals or businesses found to be distributing or sharing files without authorization.
6. Permitted Use
• You may use the designs in accordance with your purchased license (Personal Use, Standard Commercial Use, or Extended Commercial Use). Please review your license terms carefully.
When you purchase from Ky + Oak Designs, you are buying a license to use the design—not ownership of the design itself.
Extended Commercial License – Terms & Description
The Extended Commercial License from Ky + Oak Designs grants expanded usage rights for digital designs, specifically for large-scale, high-volume based businesses. This license must be purchased in addition to the design files and applies per shop/entity.
What’s Included with the Extended Commercial License:
• Unlimited Physical End Products: You may produce unlimited physical items (fabric, clothing, stationery, home décor, etc.) for sale.
• Wholesale & Retail Use: Approved for fabric shops, textile printers, and manufacturing businesses producing items in bulk.
• Print-on-Demand (POD) Platforms: You may upload designs to third-party POD services (e.g., Spoonflower, Printful, Zazzle, etc.) as long as the designs are only accessible to your account/shop and not left open for unrestricted public use.
• Marketing & Branding Use: Designs may be used in promotional graphics, packaging, and product branding.
What’s Not Allowed (Even with Extended License):
• You may not resell, gift, or share the original digital files.
• You may not list the designs as “seamless patterns” or “digital downloads” in any form.
• You may not sublicense, transfer, or allow others (e.g., another shop, factory, or partner) to use the license on your behalf.
Other Important Information:
• One License per Business/Shop: Each business entity (e.g., each fabric shop or POD store) requires its own Extended Commercial License.
• Non-Exclusive Rights: This license does not grant exclusivity. Other customers may purchase and use the same designs.
• No Ownership Transfer: Purchasing this license does not transfer copyright. All rights remain with Ky + Oak Designs.
Violation of these terms including file sharing, reselling of digital files, or unauthorized use will result in termination of your license without refund and may lead to legal action.
